.NET Developer

The candidate will have to love writing code in a dynamic and multidisciplinary environment and take pride in writing elegant bullet proof solutions that our customers interact every day.

Data Clarity seeks a .NET developer to implement high performing technical solutions. You will be responsible for developing, enhancing, modifying and/or maintaining applications that serve multiple industries

  • Design, build and implement cutting edge solutions to complex problems in a .NET/MS SQL environment.
  • Design and implement middle-tier business objects, components, web services, and database systems using a variety of languages like C#, JQuery and T-SQL in MVC or Web-Forms architecture patterns.
  • Stand-up and deploy environments in Azure, AWS and private dedicated environments
  • Perform hardware/network-related troubleshooting while fulfilling the creative vision of the project by working closely with the Front End Developers and Data Architects
  • Advise on software architecture and how your work is deployed in production
  • Advise on security and performance aspects of applications.

EVENT CO-ORDINATOR (20 HOURS PER WEEK)
£19,500-£20,500 pro rata (depending on experience)

This is an exciting opportunity to play an important support role to the Director and organising team of one of the region’s biggest sporting events, Ramathon, the Derby Half Marathon, and other associated events including the Derby 10 Mile, Wilne 10k and Carsington 7+.

Personal skills for the role will include a confident, outgoing manner with the ability to learn and develop systemsand provide effective and efficient planning and co-ordination support. Candidates must possess strong organisational capability, be numerate, self-motivated, conscientious, able to work as part of a team but also possess the ability to work under their own initiative and react under pressure. Excellent communication skills and written English are essential along with proven customer service skills as well as enthusiasm and commitment to driving running events forward. Strong I.T. skills are also key requirement, together with the ability to work within tight deadlines, strong attention to detail and accuracy with a passion for event management and/or running.

This is a part-time role of 20 hours per week including some evening and weekend working and the successful candidate must be available to work ‘above and beyond’ in the lead up to the event and on event weekend in this demanding role. The successful applicant will be required to travel to different locations and venues across Derby.

This role has the potential for career development with higher responsibilities and an increase in working hours.

BSP Consulting has an immediate vacancy in our Derby office for an AutoCAD Technician to work within our experienced structural engineering design team.

From our Derby office we work for prestigious clients throughout the East Midlands and United Kingdom, designing steel and concrete framed and loadbearing masonry buildings.

Responsibilities

The role would suit someone with experience using AutoCad drafting software in a structural engineering environment. The role will involve the drafting of designs under the guidance of engineers and senior technicians for projects in the commercial, industrial and residential sectors. The role will require personal time management and teamwork. It is office based and also includes general office and quality assurance duties.

The successful candidate will be given on the job training to develop their skills and they will work closely with the other members of the structural engineering team. Following an initial period the role can include day-release training at local colleges or university, subject to individual’s needs and ambitions. Client care is of paramount importance to us as a company and, from time to time, the successful candidate will expected to communicate with other professionals within the industry. Therefore they will be an able communicator, both in written English and verbally, in person and on the telephone.

Experience

Two years experience working in the construction industry is required.

Education

A strong background of English, Mathematics and a logical approach to problem solving should be demonstrated. The successful candidate will be computer literate, being an able user of Word and Excel. Specific experience in the use of AutoCAD for technical drawing will need to be demonstrated at interview. It would also be of benefit if the candidate can demonstrate any experience of drawing or design at the interview.

Required Skill

Experience using AutoCAD software is essential for this role.

Desired Skill

Experience in using REVIT is advantageous.

BSP Consulting has an immediate vacancy in our Nottingham or Derby office for a Civil Engineering Graduate to work within our experienced civil engineering design team.

The team works for clients throughout the East Midlands and United Kingdom, designing SuDS drainage schemes and highway works using Microdrainage and PDS industry standard software with final drawings produced in AutoCAD. The team also carry out river modelling and flood risk assessments using Flood Modeller river modelling software.

Responsibilities

A logical analytical approach to problem solving should be demonstrated. The successful candidate will specifically be able to;-

Operate, autonomously with minimal guidance in relation to design updates, drafting and detailing.

Operate with guidance in the production of basic design solutions when provided with constraints.

Undertake and respond to project based queries by telephone or other means and feedback to others.

Experience

Specific experience in the use of AutoCAD for technical drawing will ideally be demonstrated at interview.

The successful candidate will be given on the job guidance to achieve their individually led development and they will work closely with the other members of the civil engineering team. We operate an ICE registered graduate training scheme which will be open to the successful candidate. Education

The role would suit a BSc/BEng (Hons) qualified civil engineering graduate who has some relevant experience within the industry, circa one year minimum.

Required skills

Knowledge of CDM regulations and construction industry health and safety.

Computer literate, being fully competent in the use of word and excel.

Specific experience in the use of AutoCAD for technical drawing will ideally be demonstrated at interview.

The role would suit a BSc/BEng (Hons) qualified civil engineering graduate who has some relevant experience within the industry, circa one year minimum.

Desired skills

An awareness of or experience in the use of Microdrainage, PDS or Flood Modeller would be advantageous
The role will involve the design and drafting of SuDs schemes, private externals works, section 38 and section 104 works for adoption.

The role will also include the design and drafting of civil engineering works for a wide ranging, variety of sectors.
