A52 Improvement Scheme Update
on Derby City Council News issued today, Thursday 19th
July gives advanced notice of the next phase of works on the A52 Brian Clough Way.
The next phase of works to widen the road and create a third lane, will take place from Sunday 29th July, and will involve the diversion of services in the verge and the construction of a new wall to retain the existing embankment.
One lane on the westbound carriageway between Raynesway and the Wyvern junction, will be closed for 24 hours a day. Overnight closures during the week, Monday to Friday will be in place from 8.00pm to 6.00am.
Daytime lane restrictions will be removed on Sunday 26th August, with the overnight road closures continuing until mid-November.
When Derby County Football Club are playing at home, night time closures will not be implemented until 11.00pm, to minimise disruption. When the road is closed, traffic will be diverted along Derby Road and Nottingham Road.
